The pandemic crisis has put significant strain on the healthcare system, laying bare long-standing inefficiencies as well as creating new challenges.
In this session we will discuss some of the structural challenges posed to the healthcare system, both by the pandemic and more generally. Aspects that will be discussed include: financing, the role of primary care in an efficient and performant healthcare system, hospital and ICU admission criteria in comparison to similar countries, the role of at-home care, how to ensure high quality care for the elderly and vulnerable, and more.
